Little has happened of late, well little that deserves a mention on these pages. After the excitement of the christmas party on monday its been a few days busily getting things finished up before the christmas break.
Today Steve and I were busy down at Swanwick fabricating an existing timber store into a space to store the study centres firewood. Creative use of four pallets later and we had a space to fill with some chunks of wood. Being busy with chainsaws and splitting axes meant I saw little in the way of wildlife apart from a very sleepy looking Wasp, hiding out amongst the timber and Steve pointed out a Sparrowhawk flying over around midday.
Today I was also kindly sent some photos from Paul Ormerod, a Farlington visitor. They were too good to keep to myself so here they are:
If you have any great photos from our reserves you would like to share, please do send them through to me – rob.skinner(at)hiwwt.org.uk.
