Moths and Meetings

I was in meetings all day, so had little chance to see much wildlife, but we did run the moth trap outside the office at Beechcroft overnight. We caught only 29 species, but lots of moths, the most numerous were setaceous Hebrew character with 104 individuals. There were also 61 square spot rustics, although only two other species made it to double figures. Two that were caught only as singles were broad bordered yellow underwing,

and a centre-barred sallow.

This might be the last trapping for a few days as the weather forecast is not looking too good, still it is about time we had some rain.
