A Short Update

Not a lot to report from the last few days, a mixture of poor weather and a string of meetings have resulted in very little of interest being seen and no pictures of any sort. Yesterday I was at Farlington Marshes in the rain checking on the cattle, along the way I saw at least three male bearded tit carrying food over the reedbed so with luck there will be more youngsters flying soon. As is often the way in damp weather there was a water rail calling from the reedbed close to the Building. I also noticed that the lesser whitethroat near the Double Ponds was singing persistently, perhaps a sign that it has failed to find a mate.
