I see a report of a bittern seen at Farlington Marshes today, still a good bird at the Marsh even though not as rare as they were. There was also a report of a great white egret seen nearby at Broadmarsh, so something else to look out for next week.
I am at Swanwick tomorrow, for what is promising to be a cold, wet day working with the volunteers.
I have failed to add any birds to my yearlist this weekend, but I have seen my first few moths including pale brindled beauty, spring usher and chestnut.
For a great picture of the bittern and also of bearded tit and rock pipit taken by Andy Thorpe at Farlington today go to http://www.goingbirding.co.uk/hants/photos.asp
